A lovely diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in 18kt white gold and adorns an old European?Cut diamond at the center of a decorative mounting. The prong set stone weighs approximately 0.30ct and displays I/J color and VS1 clarity, sparkling beautifully in the light with every turn. The diamond rests in a box setting atop a lovely mounting graced with fine etching and delicate wirework, which create delicate cutouts. Two etched floral motifs decorate each shoulder, and additional filigree work and geometrically shaped cutouts grace both sides?of the centerpiece. Fine milgrain work is found throughout the piece, including the entire band, which tapers towards the back and is decorated with a beautiful etched pattern. Stamped inside of the shank is an "18" gold purity mark beside the name "JULIET." It is a beautiful Art Deco piece that?would make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 6.25?but could be re-sized. The centerpiece measures a little bit more than 1/4" wide and tall and rests approximately?1/4" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures 1.5mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting. The diamond is?intact an securely set.
